The End Times The Antichrist, The Mark of the Beast 666 by Wesley SmithSummary: The Bible makes it very clear that in the last days the devil will be extremely angry because he knows that his time is running out. He will show his anger by raising up two world leaders. One will come up out of the ’Äúsea’Äù and the other one will come up out of the ’Äúearth’Äù. This will be his imitation of the true Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Because he has always been a liar he will be able to deceive most people into believing that the Beast and the False Prophet get their power from God. So most of the inhabitants of the earth will worship them. The unholy trinity will give each person a mark’Äîthe mark of the Beast. Without it a person will not be able to buy or sell. And the Bible makes it very clear that anyone who takes the mark will worship the Beast and will be lost for eternity. We are rapidly approaching the time when satan will make his move to raise up these two world leaders. If there has ever been a time when we need to know the Truth it is now. Most people will be deceived. And if it is possible, even the very elect will be tricked. ’ÄúWoe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! For the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has but a short time.’Äù Revelation 12:12 Jesus said, ’ÄúI saw satan fall from heaven like lightning’Äù (Luke 10:18). At some point in time satan was an extremely beautiful and talented being who had great authority in heaven. Some Bible scholars believe that he was in charge of the worship that surrounds the throne of God. What a position to hold! But pride puffed him up and he declared in his heart, ’ÄúI will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High’Äù (Isaiah 14:13-14). Clearly, no person or angel is ’Äúlike The Most High’Äù! That pride and thought caused satan to lose his exalted position and to be assigned to planet earth. Jesus was there when this took place and He saw it happen’Äîcaused it to happen. Ever since that extremely humiliating experience the devil has been very angry and immensely jealous of the Lord Jesus Christ. He has done everything within his power to fight against the purposes of God as He relates to human beings on this earth. When satan was thrown out of heaven he took many followers with him (see Revelation 12:9). It is with this army of demons that he attempts to influence the human race. Understanding that there is a mighty war taking place around the clock every day is elementary to gaining an understanding of spiritual Truth. Most modern minds are totally deceived into believing that there isn't a devil and that there are no demons. What could be a better master plan than for satan to place teachers in seminaries, and then ministers in the pulpits, who do not believe in Him! Then the ministers teach their congregations to pooh-pooh any person who believes such nonsense. The deception is very all-encompassing! It is not surprising that the people who are supposed to have the answers to life (the Christians), are probably more tormented in their personal lives than those outside the church. Do you know any church today in America that does not send its parishioners for ’Äúcounseling’Äù? In many cases even the pastor is secretly seeing a psychotherapist in order to cope with his habitual habits and psychological hang ups. Again, this is the master-plan of the devil, and he has been laughing up his sleeve for a long, long time. If he can convince unsaved people that the Christians have more problems than they do, then they will never attend church and will stay as far away from it as possible. Did you ever get the ’Äúlook’Äù when you invited someone to church? Did you ever wonder why? Now you know! Yes. Satan is alive and well here on the planet earth. The sooner we recognize this the easier it will be to understand what is going on in our lives. Many of the personal problems that are swamping people today are caused by the devil and his demons. Proof of this is what happens to someone who actually believes in Jesus and His shed blood on calvary. (Oh, yes, the shed Blood of Jesus is another thing that the modern church does not believe in anymore!). And yet God's Word tells us that those of us living during the end of time will overcome the devil by, 1. The Blood of the Lamb, and, 2. By the word of their testimony (see Revelation 12:11)! How well the devil knows that without the Blood of Jesus there is no personal testimony of victory. Both of the weapons that would make us overcomers have been removed from the modern church and organized religion. No wonder the battle is being lost and churches by the thousands are permanently closing their doors. But all is not lost! Jesus said that the Truth would set us free. That is one reason I write articles like this and place them on the internet. I have a very strong desire do disseminate Truth. I want to see people get set free from their personal problems and to have victory over satan in these last days. If we allow him to deceive everyone by sitting by and remaining silent, then we are the most guilty of all. Many believers who know the Truth I am teaching are afraid to speak up, especially in their churches. That is why the battle is being lost. Most churches have a small core of believers who know that we should not even be discussing topics such as whether or not gays (homosexuals) should be in leadership positions in the church. We should not even be discussing such a thing in the church! The very fact that this is an issue shows how off-base we are. It makes many of us extremely ashamed of God's people. And it causes some of us to withdraw our tithes and offerings. What Christian would want to help support the devil's cause? It is absurd to think that the church would appoint a pedophile into the position of youth leader and then send him away with their children for a week at camp. But I know of real cases where this is taking place. And then when a child is molested everyone is astonished. Does God want His people to be such dummies’Äîsuch morons? Let me assure you that the basic problem here is that we have lost sight of the Truth of God's Word. There is a real devil and there are real demons. They are here in the world and their influence will become stronger and stronger, the closer we get to the end of time. Satan is angry. He knows more than the Christians do. He knows that his days are numbered. He knows that his time is running out. ’ÄúThe dragon was wroth . . .and went to make war with the remnant. . ., which keep the commandment of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ’Äù (Revelation 12:17). How could a person be in the very middle of a war and not even know it? Is this possible? In the physical world this would be impossible. The wounded, dying, the dead, the bombs, the smoke, the fire, the deafening sounds would be clear indications of war. But in the spiritual world the war is more difficult to discern. We see marriages disintegrating, church splits, Christians hating one another’Äîdistrusting one another, drug and alcohol addiction, and crime running rampant. But we don't recognize the root cause of these societal problems. We just pass it off as ’Äúthat's the way people behave’Äù. And so satan has a hey day! The Scripture says that he ’Äúwent to make war with the remnant’Äù. God has always had a remnant of people who believe His Word and serve Him. These people are satan's greatest enemies. Now wonder he makes war with us. Yes. We are in a real war. And the sooner we recognize it the better off we will be. Closing our eyes and aimlessly wandering around on a battlefield does not solve anything. The battle continues to rage. And the corpses pile up. The Bible tells us that we overcome him by using two weapons: 1. The Blood of the Lamb, and, 2. The word of our testimony. These are the most exciting days in which to be living. We are at the very end of time and we are at war with the devil. He started it and God is going to finish it. No wonder he is so angry and wants to drag as many people to hell with him as he can. He knows that his time is running out! ’ÄúAnd I saw a beast rise up out of the sea . . . and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority’Äù (Revelation13:1-2). The beast that rises up from the sea is a combination of the four beasts mentioned in the seventh chapter of Daniel’Äîleopard, bear, and lion. In all great literature water symbolizes masses of people. We are told here that the beast rises up from the midst of the people, like a super-star, hero, a very popular person, recognized world-wide. He will be the world's super-intellect and the most charismatic person we have ever known. He will wow the world! But we know from this Scripture that he gets all of his power from the dragon. The dragon is identified back in Revelation 12:9 as ’Äúthat old serpent, the devil, satan, which deceives the whole world’Äù. This ’Äúbeast’Äù that rises up out of the sea will get all of his charisma and power from the devil. When Jesus was here on the earth he did not speak like all the other teachers. He spoke with authority. Even in this satan cannot be original. All he can do is copycat. He has a copycat trinity and now he has a copycat beast that has great authority, power, and political clout (seat). ’ÄúAnd there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty-two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.’Äù Revelation 13:5-6 This man will be a greater orator than Adolph Hitler. His speeches will mesmerize millions of people as they listen to him in person, on the radio, the internet, and television. When he finishes a speech the newspapers of the world will tell about it in glaring headlines. He will be the problem-solver, the one with the answers, the one with the power. And he will be a military genius who will be the commander-in-chief of a world army. No one will be able to resist him’Äîexcept the believers. Many fundamentalists are what we call pre-trib rapture believers. In other words, they believe that all of God's people will be raptured up and out of this world before the anti-christ is revealed. They believe that they will be ’Äúspared’Äù the turmoil that is coming. Many of them believe like this because they want to believe that God will take them out and they will not have to suffer. Nobody in America wants to believe in a suffering religion. To mention the word ’Äúsuffering’Äù is the fastest way to empty the church building. But I believe that many of the people who think that they have everything figured out will be extremely surprised. Did the scholars of Jesus' day know what was going on when God sent His only begotten Son to them? Of course not. The Bible scholars of Jesus' day missed it by a million miles. The very God that they they were teaching about sent the Messiah to them and they didn't even recognize Him. I believe that in these last days the same thing will happen. And my personal belief is that we must be flexible enough to flow with whatever way God winds things up’ÄîHis Way! I was raised in a fundie church and grew up with all the pre-trib rapture doctrines. But the more I study the Bible the more I am convinced that God will unravel the end times in ways that will surprise us all. ’ÄúAnd it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.’Äù Revelation 13:7-8 For one thing, the above Scripture says that he will make war with the saints. If all the ’Äúsaints’Äù are in heaven, then how can he make war with them? I know that the fundamentalists answer this by saying that these are the people who get saved after the rapture takes place. But they also say that the Holy Spirit will be taken from the earth at the time of the rapture. If the Holy Spirit is taken from the earth, then how can anyone get saved? So, here is a clear breakdown in logic. The war that we are experiencing now is nothing in comparison to the war that will take place when the anti-christ rules. My personal opinion is that this spiritual war that we are in now will become a very real physical war. We will win the spiritual war; but we will lose the physical war. The phrase ’Äúand to overcome them’Äù makes it clear that we will lose the physical war. There will be many millions of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ who will be martyred during this time. Just the thought of it makes many Christians want to opt for the pre-trip rapture fundie theory. But to accept a theory because it makes us feel better is certainly not logical. That is a feel-good theology, the very thing that the fundies teach against. Personally, I would rather prepare for the worst. At least I will be realistic. Then, if God chooses to give us a pre-trib rapture, I have lost nothing. But, if you believe in a pre-trib rapture and it never happens, then you might even lose your faith. That would be a travesty! This man will be so spellbinding that the world will literally worship him. The precursor to this can be found with the ’Äúworship’Äù of sports heroes, musicians, and movie stars. Fan clubs abound today and the fans literally worship the ground the stars walk on. When the anti-christ emerges he will be more famous than the most famous personality of the day, because his power will come from the devil. In a way he will be a supernatural person and everyone will recognize it. Everyone will worship him except . . . The above Scripture makes it clear that a remnant will choose not to worship the anti-christ or to take his mark’Äî’Äúthose whose names are written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world’Äù. This remnant group will be very courageous! They will be martyred for refusing to worship the beast. Does the modern church have this kind of strength? I think not. These people will be similar to the three Hebrew children in the book of Daniel who declared, ’ÄúWe are not careful to answer you in this matter. It if be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods, or worship the golden image which you have set up’Äù (Daniel 3:16-18). Those who have read their Bibles will know that to worship the beast and to take his mark will bring an eternal death sentence in the lake of fire. Knowing this ahead of time will make it somewhat easier to refuse the mark, even though it means facing a firing squad, torture, or worse. ’ÄúAnd I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast., . . . whose deadly wound was healed.’Äù Revelation 13:3 & 12 What does this mean? Someone will attempt to assassinate the anti-christ. This assassin could be one of the Christians during the real physical war who recognizes this man for who he is, and attempts to murder him. The Bible does not tell us how the beast receives his wound. But we can easily understand that if a war is taking place someone might attempt to kill him. But this deadly wound will be healed. This will reinforce the belief that the beast is a god. And the people of the world will worship him for it. Again, we have an imitation resurrection from the dead. Satan, substituting himself as God the Father, sees to it that the beast, the substitute for God the Son, is ’Äúraised’Äù from the dead. The wound that he receives should have killed him. But somehow he survives the deadly wound. When he emerges after this ’Äúhealing’Äù, adulation will be heaped upon him that has never been heaped upon a man in the history of the world. Many people will be convinced that the beast is the Messiah. Satan's deception will be complete. ’ÄúAnd another beast coming up out of the earth; and . . . he spoke as a dragon. And he used all the power of the first beast before him, and forced the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he does great wonders, so that he makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, and deceives them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; . . .’Äù Revelation 13: 11-14 Notice that this second beast that comes up out of the earth ’Äúforces’Äù the people to worship the first beast. Again, this is a poor imititation of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit draws men and women to Jesus and does not speak of Himself. He exalts the Lord Jesus Christ. But He never forces anyone to worship Jesus. He woos us, and encourages us to come to Christ, but He never makes anyone worship Jesus. He respects our free wills. On the other hand the second beast forces the people to worship the anti-christ. In an awkward attempt to make the second beast act like the Holy Spirit, satan now has his fake trinity. There is a very interesting phrase in the above passage’Äî’Äúhe causes the earth to worship the first beast’Äù. The first beast came up out of the sea. This second beast comes up out of the earth. Then he causes, or forces, the earth to worship the first beast. At this present time there is a religion sweeping the world that does not even have a name; and it is not even recognized as a religion. It is more of a movement. But it is so respectable and so revered that it has even entered the political arena, educational circles, and, yes, the church This is the basic notion that we owe everything to mother nature, mother earth, our environment. The trees are sacred. Whales are sacred. Wolves are sacred. Even the sun and moon are sacred. It is very easy to get caught up in this movement because its basic tenets are very good. We see the encroachment of civilization destroying so much natural beauty. First the earth is bull-dozed. Then it is covered over with cement; and suddenly a huge mall stands where there was once a forest or a beautiful manicured farmer's field. Anyone with an ounce of sensitivity recognizes that this has to stop somewhere. But the environmental movement goes way beyond this. In our public schools, where religion and state are supposed to be separated, and where Bibles are not allowed to be read, teachers are instructing students in the art of earth/environment worship. Even the names of the gods are taught. I know of several public schools where the teachers take the children outside and form a circle. The students are instructed to raise their hands and give thanks (pray) to such false dieties as: But any Christian teacher who is caught teaching the class to pray to the real God would get in serious trouble’Äîfast! But if the teacher is showing the students the importance of nature and the names of the false gods, then it passes as being acceptable. After all, they are just showing that they are politically and evironmentally ’Äúwith it’Äù. They are showing their appreciation to mother nature and to the earth and elements. But if God's people show their appreciation to the Earth-Maker and the Star-Maker, then they are accused of mixing church and state. The message is very obvious to those of us who can still think clearly, and have not been totally brainwashed by the media, educators, and politicians. Someone asked the Rabbi, ’ÄúHow did Abraham know that there was a God?’Äù Rabbi Geller answered, ’ÄúIf there are stars, then there is a Star-Maker!’Äù What fool would not believe that the clock hanging on the wall was made by a clock-maker? How much more is it obvious that the earth, sea, forests, lakes, and streams have a Creator? Romans 2:20-223 says it this way: ’ÄúThe invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beast, and creeping things.’Äù But in spite of the obvious Truth that nature reveals, many people today close their eyes to it and choose to worship the the things that God has made. There is not a worse combination than unthankfulness and pride. So the stage is being set for the beast who comes up out of the earth. And since he ’Äúcomes out of the earth’Äù (or emerges from this politically approved movement) he will have the authority to teach the people the ’Äúdeeper’Äù truths. The second beast will show the people of the world that the earth, the trees, the water, wind, air, etc. were made to exalt and worship the first beast. It will all tie in so easily and so smoothly. I can just hear people declaring: ’ÄúI always knew that there was more to this. Now I see it so clearly. The environment itself worships the beast! We can now join in with nature, become one with nature, by worshiping what nature worships.’Äù You may scoff if you wish, but I declare to you that we are closer to this happening than many of us realize. The stage has been set for the appearance of the anti-christ and his false prophet. Even before this unholy trinity emerge their ’Äúreligion’Äù has found its way into our churches, schools, and the political arena. ’ÄúAnd he does great wonders, so that he makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, and deceives them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.’Äù Revelation 13:13-14 The false prophet, like the Holy Spirit, is a miracle worker! He not only talks about miracles’Äîhe performs them. Again we see the stage being set ahead of time. Even now huge audiences will show up for meetings if miracles are promised. The ill arrive in wheel chairs, and they leave in wheel chairs, and yet the masses continue to believe that ’Äúmiracles are happening’Äù. If you want to get a big following, just declare that you are a healer or a miracle worker. The people will mob you. Why is this? People are laden with problems. They want so badly to be relieved of their troubles. They ache for it. They want a miracle! Is anything wrong with this? Absolutely not. There is a God, the real God, who is the Miracle Worker. It is to Him that we should turn in our distress, not to man. The Bible encourages us to cast our care upon Him, because He cares for us. The Scripture tells us to look to the Living God when we are in trouble and He will deliver us. But how many people actually get down on their knees in private and implore God to come to their rescue? I have been in meetings where people absolutely refuse to get on their knees when we pray. It is too beneath them to bow their knee to anyone’Äîeven before God Almighty! As is so often the case the preacher declares that he is there ’Äúto lift up Jesus Christ’Äù. But whose name is emblazoned in headlines? It is the name of the healer or miracle worker? Even though he says that he is lifting up Jesus Christ, his entire ministry is geared to exalting himself, his name, his ministry. So when a real miracle worker shows up the world will be stampeding to get to his meetings. He will not just be claiming that miracles are happening’Äîhe will perform them in sight of everyone. Not thousands, but millions will hang on his every word. The human race will be amazed when he calls fire down from heaven in the sight of everyone. And I predict that many of the people who swarm to healing meetings now will be on the front rows when the second beast shows his power. But the main word in this text is ’ÄúDECEIVING’Äù. In spite of the fact that this beast will be a miracle worker, he will be deceiving the people and leading them into a false worship. ’ÄúLook how even nature participates with us in worship!’Äù Can't you almost hear him saying this? And then when the miracles accompany his teaching there will be very few folks who will not enter into the deception. Only the remnant will stand firm. I hope that you have been washed in the blood of the Lamb and have your name written in the Book of Life. Otherwise you will fall for the lies of the unholy trinity. Part of the worship experience will be for each person to make an image of the beast. We don't know if these will be mass-produced, or whether each person will manufacture them. But once they are made the second beast will ’Äúgive life to the images’Äù! This will be the final miracle that will convince everyone. The little images will actually speak! And people will worship the images and the beast. ’ÄúAnd he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: and that no man might buy or sell, unless he had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.’Äù Revelation 13: 16-17 This is the time when the great slaughter of God's people will take place. The remnant, the true believers, will refuse to worship the beast or take his mark. The masses of people will be in awe of this new technology. And the environmental worshipers will accept capital punishment as a reasonable punishment for the nonconformists. Each person on earth will be required to take the mark of the beast upon his body. Of course, God's people will refuse it. This courageous stand will cost them their lives. No one will be allowed to buy or sell without the ’Äúmark’Äù. Just think what that would mean in your personal life’Äîno groceries, no gasoline, no heat, no shelter’Äîjust to name a few basic items. My belief is that this ’Äúmark’Äù will not be enforced at first. It will be so attractive that the masses of people will want it’Äîdesire it. Later, the beast will force each person to take it. I just went to a web site on my computer that has almost knocked my socks off. Most of my life I have wondered if I would be alive when the ’Äúmark of the beast’Äù was implemented. The Bible is quite clear that in the last days the devil would be extremely angry, knowing that he has ’Äúbut a short time’Äù. His anger will manifest itself in a copy-cat false trinity. He will attempt to make himself and the two beasts that he raises up to look like the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The first beast comes up out of the sea, while the second beast arises from the earth. The three of them’ÄîSatan, the beast, and the false prophet’Äîwill deceive the inhabitants of the earth into thinking that they are gods. And most people will receive their ’Äúmark’Äù and worship them. Deception will be the main earmark of their power. We have often wondered how satan will be able to convince men and women everywhere to receive his mark in their bodies. Bible scholars have pondered this question for centuries and wondered what the ’Äúmark’Äù would be. This question is about to be answered by a new technology that was just released to the press last month (February 15, 2000). And isn't it interesting that this information would come to the public attention in the year 2000! Applied Digital Solutions has recently acquired the patent for a new technology named Digital Angel. The transceiver can be implanted just under the skin or hidden inconspicuously on or within valuable personal belongings and priceless works of art. When implanted within the human body, the transceiver is powered electromechanically through the movement of muscles. It can be activated either by the ’Äúwearer’Äù or by a remote monitoring station. The device also can monitor certain biological functions of the human body and send a distress signal to a monitoring facility when it detects an emergency. For a very long time fear has been pumped into the minds and hearts of Americans. One of the big fears is that a family member (especially a child) would be kidnapped, never to be seen again. We have kept a very close eye on our children in public places because we have felt that kidnappers or pedophiles were lurking in almost every supermarket or mall. Digital Angel has the potential of quelling these fears, and has a multi-billion marketing potential. Once the chip is implanted in a person his whereabouts will always be known through the transceiver and the Global Positioning System (GPS). Believe me, millions of people will be in line to purchase this device. And, yes. The two places on the human body where the Digital Angel will be placed is the forehead or hand!---just like the Bible predicted. I am not putting this information here just for the fun of it. These are the days that God told Daniel about: ’Äú. . . shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.’Äù Daniel 12:4 ’Äú . . . Go your way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.’Äù Daniel 12:9 I have taught my family that no matter what happens in life not to take any mark on their bodies, even if it means starvation. The Bible says that we will not be able to buy or sell unless we have the mark of the beast. It will be the only way to buy and sell under the reign of the Anti-christ. It is in those days that those of us who know God (if we are here) will depend upon Him for our very lives. And I believe that He will pour out His grace upon us like never before. Someone has said that if He provided manna for a disobedient people He will surely take care of those who love Him. ’ÄúAnd the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: and the smoke of their torment ascends up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receives the mark of ;his name.’Äù Revelation 14:9-11 This is not a teaching to be feared. This is Truth! These are exciting days in which to spread the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. The greatest favor we could ever do for our relatives, friends, and neighbors is to warn them. Then the decision will be up to them. At least they will know. And they will know the consequences. At a time when the Truth needs to be told, many preachers and modern church leaders are attempting to hide this part of the Bible from their people. And then they make fun of the ’ÄúBible Thumpers’Äù who are religious fanatics. Time is running out. Satan knows it. Isn't it amazing that the people who think that they have a corner on the truth are missing some of the most basic Bible Truth available? They have chosen to keep their minds closed. Their seminary professors have warned them to ’Äústay away from Bible prophecy’Äù. It is no wonder that thousands of church people don't even know about the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that God has allowed the computer and the internet to be invented so that we can take His Truth directly to the people. We can by-pass the intellectuals, organized religion, and the political arena with the miracle of computers. We now have at our fingertips the ability to send Truth to the uttermost part of the earth in an instant. And if you think that the computers of today are fast---Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and Intel Corporation have launched a personal computer processor running at the ultra-fast speed of 1 gigahertz, or 1 billion bits of information per second. The new computer is called the 1 gigahertz Pentium III processor. This is the industry's equivalent of breaking the sound barrier. Transacting one billion calculations per second surpasses modern computers ten fold. These new computers are ten times faster than the ones we use now! Intel began shipping the Pentium III March 6, 2000. If we as mere human beings have the technology to make calculations at this amazing speed, then what kind of technology do you think God has at his fingertips? Our modern computers only take six seconds to file every person's name on the planet earth. God can easily recall every person's life history at the blink of the eye: everything we have ever done, said, or thought. No wonder the Scripture says, ’ÄúIt is appointed unto every man once to die; after that the judgment.’Äù We will be judged out of the ’Äúbooks’Äù. Now that we have computers it is much easier to believe that God has the capability of going to our file and pulling up a life history. If we can go to a file in the computer and with the click of the mouse bring up the entire document, consider how simple it is for God to do this. And I am sure that His ’Äúcomputer’Äù is light years ahead of anything we have. His computer may be His very mind! I used to wonder, ’ÄúIf everyone on earth was praying to God at the same time, how could He possibly hear them all?’Äù Today the technology is in place to perform such an operation’Äîand it would only take a few seconds. In Daniel 12: 4 & 9 the word ’Äúcomputer’Äù appears in the Bible Code in both verses! Amazing! He told Daniel to seal (save) the Truth until ’Äúthe time of the end’Äù. More knowledge is being released now than ever in history. The Scripture says that in the last days knowledge would be increased and people would run to and fro. Just these two signs alone show that we are in the last days! Let's get the message of Jesus Christ out to the world while we have this window of opportunity. I believe that every invention is to be used to spread the gospel. The computer and the internet are valuable tools for us to use.
